Index
This index comprises the titles of the tapestries catalogued in this volume and of the series to which they belong, as well as the names of their designers and producers. Tapestries that are known to belong to series are listed under the series title, which is given in its full form. Tapestries that do not belong, or are not known to belong, to any series are indexed under their own titles. If known, the name of the designer and the production center follow the series title; otherwise, a general design and production location is given. For ease of reference, most subtleties of attribution employed in the entries are omitted here. Where known, life or activity dates are provided for designers and producers. The catalogue numbers following a designer’s or producer’s name indicate those tapestries for which he is known to be, or believed to be, responsible.
