This list was drawn from the catalogue of the New York Crystal Palace Exhibition and from the minutes of the Society for the Promotion of Painting in Water Colors (also known as the New York Water Color Society [NYWCS]), in the collection of the New-York Historical Society. With the exception of Falconer and Hart, all the artists listed were involved with printmaking, illustration, or photography as well as watercolor.
